Please be informed that Elsevier, the publisher of ScienceDirect and Scopus will be releasing several new enhancements to the SciVerse platform. The ScienceDirect & Scopus databases are expected to be offline and unavailable for approximately 19 hours on 7:30 PM, Saturday, August 25th - 2:30 PM Sunday, August 26^th, 2012.

Invitation to WizFolio – Your Online Research Collaboration Tool Presentation

Please be informed that the Library will be organizing a presentation on WizFolio for academic staff. WizFolio is a special software and tools to manage all type of bibliographic information including research papers, patents, documents, books, YouTube videos, web snippets and a lot more. Briefly, WizFolio is said to be an upgrade version of Endnote and Refwork or Procite, which are among world well known bibliographic software.

This presentation will be delivered by Miss Jennifer Yong of Access Dunia Sdn. Bhd.

Accessing Library Resources from Off Campus via EZProxy

Accessing Library Resources from Off Campus via EZProxy:

UniMAP community can access the web-based resources available on the Library's web site from home by using the Library's proxy server, if you have a valid UniMAP e-mail account and access to the Internet. Our online tutorial provides indepth explanation on how to access this facility from your home and office, remotely. E-Resources: Capaian kepada sumber maklumat elektronik

Selain bahan bercetak seperti buku dan lain-lain, Perpustakaan UniMAP juga menyediakan kemudahan sumber maklumat dalam format elektronik kepada para pengguna perpustakaan. Perpustakaan telah melanggan lebih dari 20 pangkalan data yang memuatkan koleksi dalam format elektronik seperti e-buku, e-jurnal, tesis, ensiklopedia, kamus dan lain-lain.

Sehingga September 2008, Perpustakaan menawarkan 56,534 judul e-buku dan 8,642 judul e-jurnal yang boleh diakses secara atas talian. Pengguna yang tidak berkesempatan untuk datang ke perpustakaan masih boleh mendapatkan maklumat untuk tujuan penyelidikan mereka dengan hanya mengakses kepada sumber elektronik perpustakaan dari mana-mana sahaja dengan menggunakan internet. Inilah yang dikatakan maklumat dihujung jari.

Untuk mengakses kepada pangkalan data yang dilanggan oleh Perpustakaan sama ada dari dalam atau luar UniMAP Perpustakaan menyediakan perkhidmatan Ezproxy. Ezproxy boleh diakses melalui pautan e-Resources yang terdapat di laman web perpustakaan dengan memasukkan kata nama dan kata laluan terlebih dahulu. Panduan tentang kata nama dan kata laluan ada diberikan pada laman tersebut.
