Inaugurated in 2010, the 1Malaysia Comtemporary Art Tourism festival or 1MCAT is a prestigious annual event initiated by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Malaysia. The 1MCAT is a showcase of Malaysia's finest contemporary art and an affirmation of its contributions. The festival is nation's main tourism attractions. The festival is fast becoming one of the most vidible and talked about happenings in Malaysia's tourism calendar, and thi syear, 1MCAT 2012 is set to be the biggest and boldest ever in anticipation of Visit Malaysia year 2014, when the nation is expected to receive a record 28 million visitors.
1MCAT 2013 will take place July till September and will feature a series of exhibitions, inspring talks and art-related activities in cooperation with art galleries, public institutions and shooping centres.
